The Organisation of sport in the USA

In the USA, sports scholarships and college matches are so important they receive TV coverage.

The most important competition of the season is the Nationals, the Nationwide Championships of the different leagues, there are also the ‘Regional’s’ (4 – 6 states) and the ‘Conferences’ (2- 3 states). These three important events influence your scholarship season.

The advantage of a sports scholarship is basically, that the university provides all you need to help you develop your performance in your sport, starting with all your kit (training and competition), full time physiotherapist, sport facilities and finishing with professional coaches with a lot of experience.

The competing season finishes at the end of the Spring Semester in May, which enables you to take part in competitions in Germany in the summer months. A spots scholarship doesn’t mean the end of your career in Europe; in fact it helps to advance it. That’s why your home club should also support you in your wish to apply for a sports scholarship.
