The amount of support for skiing is not as large as for the classic American sports, but this doesn’t mean the professionalism, the medical care and the passion is of lesser quality. Annually an average of 1.4 million USD is given to 140 athletes.
Competing
The calendar of events is issued one year in advance by the Rock Mountain Intercollegiate Ski Association. The NCAA Championships take place annually in the first week in March. In 2011 the nationals are being held in Stowe VT. Training is organized with this in mind. Members of Ski-College Sports also take part in the World University Games in Turkey and the U-23 World Junior Cross Country Championships, which shows the high level of competition involved.
Denver, Colorado, New Mexico, Alaska, anchorage, Vermont, Utah and Darmouth all belong to the top teams.
Timing
The best time to go to the USA on a sports scholarship is straight after you finish school. College coaches prefer to give scholarships to younger students, as it enables them to continually train and improve a player’s performance over a period of four years. It is also possible to go to the US for just one year. Due to the contact we have to a large number of college coaches we have been able to help athletes after they have completed their Bachelor to do their Master in the USA. The best timing is if you contact us about one year before you plan to start studying in the USA. A sports scholarship gives you the ideal professional framework to enable you to carry on doing you sport at the University of your Choice. All you have to do is fill out our Opportunity Assessment Form and we will contact you as soon as possible.

* Scholarbook didn’t help F. Bernstein to get an athletic scholarship in the United States. F. Bernstein is herewith used as an impressive example about the success one can achieve after his or her college career.
