SUP Concept

As athletes we know your worries and concerns. To help you receive the best possible preparation for your sports scholarship and your stay in the USA, we want to ensure 3 factors with the help of our SUP (Sustainable Performance) Concept:

- Discus together with your German trainer your current training in relation to a sports scholarship and make them aware of what could change in the USA.
- sensitize you to the fact that, even with a new coach you can influence and be involved in organizing your training.
- make you aware of the fact that Team Spirit will help to carry you even if you partly do your own thing and adjust the training to fit in with your physical abilities.

The contact to your German club is very important. They will not be losing you, the semester finishes in May and you can still compete during the summer season in Germany, Switzerland and Austria. Whatever happens, you must keep in mind that in the USA you are being trained by fully trained coaches and your well being is top priority for the American Universities. However an athlete isn’t a good athlete until he learns to speak up and voice his own opinions regarding the training concepts. This is why it is very important for us to prepare you in advance to deal with varying situations and help you to strengthen your personality.

This concept of sensitization and personality strengthening will help you to take an important step which up until now has rarely been taken into consideration. This will hopefully prevent certain avoidable problems from arising which can develop in connection with a sports scholarship.
